Why do you need a humidifier?
In winter, you can literally watch your home come apart at the seams. Hardwood floors separate at the seams and gaps appear in moldings. Furniture and collectibles shrink, warp and crack as moisture is sucked out of them by desert-dry indoor air.
Dry air can aggravate upper respiratory problems, and itchy skin and dry throats can be the consequences of dry air. Static shocks 'zap' you and sensitive equipment especially when you shuffle across your carpet. Dry air can also make you feel colder than the actual reading on your thermostat setting because evaporating moisture on your skin causes a cooling effect.
Check out our selection of humidifiers from Honeywell and others. We can recommend the right manufacturer and model of humidifier for your home.
