Care and Maintenance

It is important to maintain your air conditioning system to ensure long life, maximum efficiency and a comfortable indoor environment. Home Comfort Canada suggests that you as the homeowner can change your furnace filter regularly. The filter should be cleaned or replaced once a month during the cooling and heating seasons (depending on which type of filters you are using).

A dirty filter increases energy use and reduces cooling efficiency. Home Comfort Canada can put you on an annual maintenance plan to ensure you have your heating and cooling system cleaned and inspected once a year. We will inspect the condensate drain and electrical components, clean both indoor and outdoor components, check the refrigerant pressures and levels, adjusting if necessary and clean and adjust the blower components. In other words, maintenance should be performed as per the manufacturer’s specifications.
